This course will begin at one end of the scale being the cell, its molecular construction and complex metabolic reactions and move through to the other end of the scale where biologists investigate the interactions that make whole ecosystems function.

This course requires an understanding of basic concepts of computational thinking and knowledge of how digital devices, including computers, operate. The course emphasises conceptual thinking, using a large volume of knowledge from a variety of subjects, allowing innovation, exploration, and acquisition of more knowledge. Students will study how computer science interacts with, and influences, society generally, including effects on individuals and ethical thinking. Students will develop computational solutions.
